LOCKED AND LOADED"
From The Bonedrivers CD "Mobile" BB4444

Here's a little story
'bout a gal I know,
she was livin' in comfort,
owned a boutique store.

Her man was skinny
as a fishing pole,
they fell in love
when they were ten years old.

She was locked and loaded,
man, that girl was bad.
and her touch was golden,
the world at her command.

She had no Daddy
and her Mom died young.
Spent her early years
passed from home to home.

A big boned girl
standing five foot ten,
she could hold her own
with any kind of man.

Her honey played the trumpet
in a big Soul band.
Drove around the country
in a green Dodge Van.

He had some sweeties
who he saw on the road,
she was fine with that,
had a few of her own.

She was locked and loaded,
man, that girl was bad.
and her life was golden,
she loved her skinny man.

Late one night
a fire swept their home.
When the smoke had cleared
she was all alone.

She fell to her knees
and cried "Dear Lord,
why'd you take from me
the reason I've been living for?"

She was locked and loaded,
man, that girl was bad.
But her life exploded
when she lost her sugar man.
She loved that skinny man -
"Sugar!!!"
